Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters through all phases of litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal filings
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses
- Handle written discovery and take or defend depositions
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts throughout the litigation process
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex employment matters and case strategy
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license
- 3+ years of employment litigation experience
- Experience handling matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and related employment claims
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions preferred
- Ability to independently manage an active caseload while working collaboratively with a team
