Prior Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in private attorneys general act (paga) litigation and defense
  • Well-established and exclusive employment litigation, defense background
  • Significant paga/class/compliance expertise
  • Jury trial/civil court trial experience preferred
  • Public entity defense experience a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Juris Doctor degree

Professional Credentials

  • Member, State Bar of California in good standing

Job Duties

  • PAGA Litigation: Manage and oversee PAGA claims, develop and execute legal strategies, monitor and manage the discovery process.
  • Client Advisory & Compliance: Provide counsel on compliance with California labor laws, conduct audits, advise on policies, evaluate and advise on legislative impacts.
  • Client Relationship & Business Development: Foster and expand client relationships, offer legal support, identify business development opportunities, present on PAGA compliance and litigation.
  • Team Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, review and approve legal work, foster a collaborative work environment.
