Employee Relations Specialist
About the role
The Employee Relations Specialist will serve as the face of HR and the primary HR support for front-line leaders and employees. They will conduct investigations, coach and advise managers and supervisors, support performance management efforts, interpret policies, and ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational standards. Additionally, they will collaborate with the Employee Engagement team to foster a positive and engaging employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide expert support for employees
- Coach and guide managers through policy interpretation discussions and investigations
- Manage and execute Employee Relations matters from investigations to support
- Provide coaching and guidance for managers/supervisors to document and handle issues/conflicts
- Coordinate and execute strategies and activities for developing line manager capability
- Work with managers/supervisors to educate and ensure understanding of policies
- Manage and execute Employee Relations matters from investigations to support
- Coordinate and deliver HR programs and communication by working with HR COEs and HR Business Partners
- Facilitate labor law compliance
- Provide coverage to other Moog sites as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree
- Over five (5) years of progressive experience in a similar professional role, working with employee relation matters such as workplace investigations, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and alike
- Able to commute to either our Highland Heights, OH and our Orrville, OH facilities
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel, as needed, for remote site support and/or corporate initiatives
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Experience with HR systems and tools
- Knowledge of employment laws and organizational standards

Pay
Cleveland, OH: $85,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually
