About the role

NEP is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor, investigator, and strategic partner in fostering a collaborative, compliant, and high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution efforts.
  • Partner with managers, supervisors, HR Business Partners, and legal counsel to address employee concerns and drive positive outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and workplace best practices.
  • Implement human resources projects to further the Company’s business goals in an efficient and expeditious manner.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Deliver training on workplace conduct, harassment prevention, labor relations, and compliance.
  • Analyze workplace trends and recommend proactive engagement and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive employee relations, labor relations, HR, or employment law experience.
  • Strong experience conducting complex workplace investigations and resolving sensitive employee issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA, and related regulations.
  • Experience supporting both union and non-union workforces.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders, manage sensitive situations, and maintain confidentiality.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
