Serve as the first point of contact
- Address routine questions related to policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
- Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as needed
Act as the intake liaison
- Conduct initial assessments of employee complaints
- Ensure proper documentation of complaints
Conduct preliminary interviews
- Gather relevant information for employee relations cases
- Handle harassment allegations, workplace complaints, and policy violations
Partner with managers and supervisors
- Provide guidance on company policies, performance management, and disciplinary procedures
Maintain records
- Accurately and confidentially record employee lifecycle events
- Manage employee relations documentation, including PIPs and corrective actions
Stay and exit interviews
- Conduct stay and exit interviews
- Analyze feedback and present insights to HR leadership
Compliance and knowledge
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Apply knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
Promote a positive employee relations philosophy
- Align with Garver standards and organizational values

Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and legal guidelines effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, employee relations experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
