What You'll Do
- Makes the moment in Title II and Title VII investigations
- Determines if additional investigation is needed
- Conducts in-depth investigations through personal interviews and evidence collection
- Documents facts of the case and determines if a policy violation exists
- Makes recommendations based on findings
- Affixes as a witness in litigated cases
- Advise management on policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance
- Provide guidance in personnel decisions such as hiring, counseling, performance evaluations, leave of absence issues, workplace accommodations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure the uniform and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures
- Assist in drafting new policies and procedures
- Advise store management, district managers, and Regional Vice Presidents on handling ER-related issues
Compliance and Policy Training and Communications
- Takes proactive measures to increase awareness of policy and law
- Identifies and addresses employee relations issues
- Facilitates employee relations and employment law training for field management
- Presents seminars and assists in orientation programs to educate field management on employment laws and policies
- Drafts information for handbooks, Operations Manual, and other training material
- Conducts on-site training and open-door sessions for hourly field employees
- Collaborate to resolve employee relations issues
- Proactively address employee issues to safeguard company position
- Solicit quick and final resolutions when appropriate
- Resolve employee relations claims by collaborating with appropriate parties
- Make recommendations regarding personnel disciplinary action when necessary
