Employee Communications Manager, Transformation
About the role
Ralph Lauren Corporation is a global leader in the design, marketing, and distribution of premium lifestyle products across apparel, accessories, home, fragrances, and hospitality. This role is a multi-faceted position focused on crafting and managing a communications strategy and narrative around the company’s transformation. The Employee Communications Manager will interface with leaders across Next Generation Transformation (NGT), Project Cross-Stitch management, Change Management, Project Management Office, AI Center of Excellence (AI COE), and other stakeholders to understand and communicate transformation progress.
This role reports to the Lead for Global Employee Communications and requires a strong understanding of change management within a matrixed organization, agility, and experience leading impactful communication initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support proactive storytelling, including posts and articles for the weekly global newsletter RL Engage (internal social platform), developing communications for key moments, and maintaining messaging and assets on shared drives.
- Participate in bi-weekly global Employee Comms calls to share plans on upcoming key moments; work closely with the NGT PMO, Change Management Leads, and AI COE to understand milestones and achievements.
- Serve as a bridge between the working team and global organization communications, ensuring alignment on transformation updates.
- Liaise with the NGT and AI COE teams to support executive engagement at key events, proactive storytelling, and updates on how NGT (Project Cross-Stitch) enables business success and AI enhances ways of working.
- Initiate proactive discovery and story-mining to highlight how transformation initiatives drive positive impacts on operations and company culture.
- Support the ideation and creation of dynamic multimedia content to align internal engagement programming with strategic plan objectives and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with business partners across departments and regions.
- Contribute to the global corporate editorial calendar with Project Cross-Stitch and AI milestones.
- Remain flexible to support Employee Communications initiatives outside of NGT and AI COE scope.
- Develop measurement tools to demonstrate impact, including standardized surveys and engagement dashboards.
Requirements
- Change management communications experience and internal communications experience (required).
- Established track record of project managing large, matrixed projects.
- Natural curiosity and strong storytelling skills.
- Experience developing, managing, and measuring the impact of communications strategies, project plans, and campaigns.
- Hands-on experience executing communications for diverse internal stakeholder populations (office-based, retail, managers, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills (PowerPoint, talking points, executive briefing documents).
- Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative.
- Self-starter approach with strong problem-solving skills; ability to work in ambiguous environments and deliver results.
- Strategic and execution-oriented, with the ability to deliver high-quality initiatives under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Knowledge of developing communications strategies to drive perception change and build understanding of new directions.
- Some travel required.
