Employee and Labor Relations Coordinator - (Harrah's LV)

About the role

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources Employee & Labor Relations team in various capacities and serves as the first point of contact for team members visiting the HR office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain personnel files, including creating folders, updating current employee files (personal, confidential, and I-9), and auditing I-9 documents
  • Process termination files, including scanning and appropriate filing
  • Assist with HR front counter duties, file room maintenance, badging, and gaming registration
  • Answer phones, fax, email documents, and mail letters
  • Update team member information in Oracle as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of HR Department experience, preferably within a casino
  • Computer knowledge and word processing skills
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to obtain/renew all government-required licenses or certifications, specifically a Nevada Gaming license
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, customer service, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and detail-oriented
  • Fluent in English; bilingual preferred
  • Professional interaction with all levels of employees
  • Team player with the ability to get along with co-workers
  • Well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to maintain flexible hours and perform under stressful conditions
  • Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations, recognizing standards required by a regulated business
