About the role
The Emerging Companies + Venture Capital practice at Morrison Foerster is seeking an attorney with 4-6 years of significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work. This role involves working on high-value, high-profile matters for high-growth startups and leading investors.
Responsibilities
- Participate in venture financings using NVCA documents
- Work on domestic M&A transactions, particularly for startup companies and investors
- Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships
- Communicate complex matters in both oral and written forms
- Take on increased levels of responsibility for transactions
Requirements
- Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in
- Experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies, including seed and venture capital financings and public offerings
- Proactive with a strong business sense
- Entrepreneurial, innovative, and forward-thinking
- Excellent business and legal problem-solving skills and judgement
- Ambitious and committed to delivering excellent client service
Qualifications
- Technology, life sciences, and/or CPG business experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong academic background

- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay
Salary ranges are stated below and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience (including class year); and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
- Austin, TX: $310,000 to $390,000
- Denver, CO: $310,000 to $390,000
- Los Angeles, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- New York, NY: $310,000 to $390,000
- Palo Alto, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- San Diego, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- San Francisco, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
