About the role
The Emerging Companies + Venture Capital practice at Morrison Foerster is seeking an attorney with 4-6 years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital work. This role involves working on high-value, high-profile matters and offers opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Delivering strategic, end-to-end counsel from formation through exit in the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems
- Working on venture financings using NVCA documents
- Participating in domestic M&A transactions, particularly for startup companies and investors
- Managing internal and external client and counsel relationships
- Communicating complex matters in both oral and written forms
- Providing excellent client service
Requirements
- Significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work
- Experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies, including seed and venture capital financings and public offerings
- Proactive, with a strong business sense and the ability to effectively manage relationships
- Interest in technology, life sciences, and/or consumer products and services
- Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in

- Excellent business and legal problem-solving skills and judgement
- A strong work ethic, team player attitude, and action-oriented interest in taking on increased responsibilities

Pay
Salary ranges are stated below and may vary based on factors including location and experience:
- Austin, TX: $310,000 to $390,000
- Denver, CO: $310,000 to $390,000
- Los Angeles, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- New York, NY: $310,000 to $390,000
- Palo Alto, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- San Diego, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
- San Francisco, CA: $310,000 to $390,000
