Urgent Pet Care, with two locations in the Omaha/Papillion area, is an AAHA-accredited, growth-oriented urgent care clinic focused on making a difference in the lives of patients, clients, and team members. We value new ideas and feedback to improve and grow our family-style, team-focused practice.
About the role
We are looking for full-time veterinarians to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Our doctors work 12 shifts per month, providing a good work/life balance. The clinic operates like a human urgent care facility, closing at 12 AM on weeknights, midnight on Saturdays, and 10 PM on Sundays and holidays. Doctors and technicians stay through the night to ensure complete care for patients.
The ownership team, consisting of four veterinarians and a business professional, values team members as a crucial part of company growth and involves them in decision-making for current and future opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency veterinary care
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of technicians, assistants, and client care individuals
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current DEA License or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License
- USDA Accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire
Qualifications
- Passion for emergency medicine
- Experience preferred, but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
