Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Charlestown, MA is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at our state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to critically ill or injured pets in a dynamic environment.
• Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
• Contribute to exceptional care and make a real impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree required.
• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts.
• Experience in emergency and critical care is preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment is necessary.

Benefits

Annual base salary up to $200,000 based on experience and schedule. Additional income potential through quarterly production bonus (no negative accrual).
