About the role
The Senior Veterinarian in ER will play a paramount and integral role in the Emergency and Critical Care Department. The clinical responsibilities of our ER doctors include primary case receiving as well as oversight of the interns and ECC residents seeing emergency cases. The overnight rotation for ER doctors includes oversight and monitoring of all pets hospitalized in the ICU and of the interns in the ER. The senior ER doctor schedule varies among daytime, swing, and overnight shifts, during which time you will be working alongside 1-3 senior ER doctors and/or criticalists and 4-6 rotating interns (shift depending).
Responsibilities
- Primary case receiving and oversight of interns and ECC residents seeing emergency cases.
- Oversight and monitoring of all pets hospitalized in the ICU and interns in the ER during overnight shifts.
- Working alongside 1-3 senior ER doctors and/or criticalists and 4-6 rotating interns (shift depending).
- Sharing responsibilities in the ER with the boarded criticalists and senior ECC residents.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)
- Experience in managing critically ill and emergency patients
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Desire to teach and continue learning

$195,000 - $215,000 USD
