Emergency Veterinarian

Midwest Animal Hospital is expanding in 2026 to launch a comprehensive 24-hour Emergency & Critical Care service in Orland Park, IL. We’re seeking skilled, dedicated Emergency Veterinarians to join us as founding members of this new team.

About the Role

As a founding Emergency Medicine Veterinarian, you’ll perform hands-on emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery cases such as GDVs, foreign body removals, splenectomies, lacerations, and amputations. You’ll also help shape our new ER protocols, culture, and workflows—your input will be valued and impactful.

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling with options for 3x12 or 4x10-hour shifts, including a mix of day, swing, and overnight shifts—no mandatory overnight-only schedules unless preferred.
• Typically 2 weekends per month, with options for 1 weekend.
• Thoughtfully built schedules with days off to recover between night and day shifts.

Pay

• ProSal compensation model with base ranges of $140k–$150k for new graduates and $160k–$175k+ for experienced ER veterinarians.
• $20k+ sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and student loan repayment options.
