About the role
The Emergency Telecommunications Operator (ETO) is responsible for providing emergency dispatch services to the public and responding to emergencies as needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive and dispatch emergency calls
- Communicate with callers and dispatch emergency services
- Operate communication equipment and systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols
