Emergency Services Patient Care Assistant II

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitor.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to all patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
