About the role
As an Emergency Services Dispatcher, you are the first point of contact with the public via both emergency 911 phone lines and non-emergency phone lines. You must obtain information from callers who may be injured, confused, angered, hysterical, frightened, or abused.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively to dispatch city police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical services on emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Be a source of hope during someone’s most challenging moments.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass a drug screening.
