Schedule

Full time, night shift.

Location: 4633 Vineland Rd, Orlando, Florida 32811.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement service programs by assessing patient needs, setting goals, and outlining interventions to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional health, including medical history, physical exams, and interviews with patients and families.
• Develop individualized care plans by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, performing medical procedures as prescribed.
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to adjust care plans and improve service programs based on data and feedback.
• Educate and train nursing staff on new service programs, protocols, and best practices to maintain high standards of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies by adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities by identifying areas for improvement, implementing changes, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in electronic medical records, ensuring timely and precise entries.
• Adhere to professional standards by following established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
• Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, maintaining a professional rapport with all team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
• 1+ years of acute care experience (Required)
• 1+ years of leadership experience (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS) (Required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (Preferred)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) (Preferred)

Skills

• Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures, and legal aspects of acute care nursing (Required)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (Required)
• Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record (Required)
• Cerner documentation (Preferred)
• Collaborates effectively with management, nurse leadership, and ancillary department staff to refine departmental goals, resolve patient care problems, and integrate nursing within the healthcare delivery system (Required)
• Demonstrates clear and concise communication about patient care to healthcare team members and collaborates with physicians concerning patient care (Required)
• Empowers and supports staff in educational endeavors for career growth and participates in clinical collaboration, preceptorship programs, and professional development planning (Required)
• Exhibits leadership qualities consistent with organizational philosophy and goals, including modeling critical thinking skills, serving as a resource for employees, and demonstrating dependability and punctuality (Required)
• Demonstrates knowledge of state and federal regulations, updating departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance, supervising unit personnel, and managing budget and resources efficiently (Required)
• Demonstrates excellent prioritization, time management, and takes corrective actions in line with hospital policies, including risk management activities (Required)

Pay

Pay range: $33.99 - $63.22 per hour.
