Job Summary

CommonSpirit's clinical leaders and educators champion innovation, effectiveness, and employee development. As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), you will focus on unit or department operations, promoting a positive work environment, and supporting initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently promote a positive & healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
  • Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed.
  • Aid in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
  • Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation.
  • Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
  • Encourage employee participation in decision-making through shared governance and support change management.
  • Support professional development to improve employee retention.

Requirements

  • 2 years clinical RN emergency room experience
  • 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)
  • Current RN License to practice in state of employment
  • Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Must achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this role

Physical Requirements

  • Medium Work: Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
  • Hours: Either 4 ten hour shifts (4p-2a) or 5 eight hour shifts (5p-1a)

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services. It is the home base for Flight For Life Colorado and has received numerous awards and certifications, including Magnet designation in 2023. The hospital combines a heritage of expert care with the latest technology and innovation.
