Assistant Nurse Manager Emergency Room

Responsibilities
- Consistently promote a positive and healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
- Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring appropriate staffing.
- Aid in identifying staff development needs, emphasizing evidence-based practice and education.
- Daily manage productivity and expenses, supporting the unit/department manager with budget preparation.
- Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement aligned with unit/department goals.
- Encourage employee participation in decision-making through shared governance and support change management.
- Support professional development to enhance employee retention.
Job Requirements
- 2 years clinical RN emergency room experience
- 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred
- A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)
- Current RN License to practice in state of employment
- Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g., NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
- Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer, must achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this role
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly. Hours are either 4 ten-hour shifts (4p-2a) or 5 eight-hour shifts (5p-1a).

Pay Range
$41.50 - $72.11 /hour
