Assistant Nurse Manager Emergency Room
About the role
Reports to the Nurse Manager of a designated Critical Care department and assists with the planning, administration, and evaluation of a twenty-four hour operation of a single nursing unit. Duties are assigned based on patients' needs, staffing availability, and other factors.
Responsibilities
- Attends patient rounds with physicians
- Answers questions regarding patients' condition
- Receives physicians' orders
- Notes patients' charts
- Directs preparation and maintenance of patients' clinical records
Requirements
- Essential Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: Two years of nursing experience
- Credentials: Basic Life Support and Registered Nurse license
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
