Emergency Medicine Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a high acuity emergency department, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities according to established standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, along with professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness to ensure safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid RN license.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
