About the Role
Under immediate supervision, this entry-level technical instructional support position assists with the operation of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and conducting specific programs and activities; providing supervision of operations and direction to student leaders; and supervising TK-8 students in both long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy. Work location may be a fixed site or flexible site schedule, dependent upon program needs.
Schedule
- 5.35 hours/day, split shift: 6:55 am – 8:31 am and 2:15 pm – 6:00 pm
- 5 days per week
- 26.75 hours/week
- 10.50 months/year
- Employment Type: Part Time
Pay
- Pay Range: $20.07 - $25.59 Per Hour (Range 26)
- External candidates: Steps A-C based on verified previous experience
- Current, regular employees placed at the lowest step of new range which provides a raise of approximately 5%, within constraints of the salary schedule
Requirements
- Proof of one of the following:
- Passing the CBEST, or
- Completion of two years of college (48 units), or
- An AA degree or higher, or
- Passing the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date
- 6 Early Childhood Education units from an accredited college, or Child Development permit preferred
- Possession of current First Aid and CPR cards preferred
