About the role

The Learning Connection (TLC) Before and After School Child Care Program under immediate supervision, this entry-level technical instructional support position assists with the operation of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program; plans, organizes, and conducts specific programs and activities; provides supervision of the operations and gives direction to student leaders; directs and supervises TK-8 students in both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the operation of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program
• Plans, organizes, and conducts specific programs and activities
• Provides supervision of the operations and gives direction to student leaders
• Directs and supervises TK-8 students in both long and short range activities
• Operates in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy

Requirements / Qualifications

• MUST ATTACH PROOF OF: - Passing the CBEST, or - Having completed two years of college (48 units), or - An AA degree or higher, or - Must have passed the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date.
• - 6 Early Childhood Education units from an accredited college, or Child Development permit preferred.
• - Possession of current First Aid and CPR cards preferred
