About the role
Under immediate supervision, this entry‑level technical instructional support position assists with the operation of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program; plans, organizes, and conducts specific programs and activities; provides supervision of the operations and gives direction to student leaders; directs and supervises TK‑8 students in both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy. Work location may be a fixed‑site schedule or a flexible‑site schedule, dependent upon the needs of the program.
Pay
Salary range: $20.07 – $25.59 per hour. External candidates are placed on steps A‑C based on verified previous experience. Current regular employees placed at the lowest step of the new range receive an approximate 5% raise, within the constraints of the salary schedule.
Schedule
3.75 hrs/day, 2:15 pm – 6:00 pm. Total work year: 5.5 hours/day, 5 days per week, 27.5 hours/week, 10.50 months/year (part‑time, 27.5 hours/week).
Requirements
- Proof of passing the CBEST, or completion of two years of college (48 units), or an AA degree or higher, or passing the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date.
- Six Early Childhood Education units from an accredited college (or Child Development permit preferred).
