Responsibilities
- Analyze, problem-solve and collaborate with subcontractors, general contractors, and consultants alike.
- Help adhere to the agreed schedule of the projects you will be working on and report back all progress to the supervisor.
- Support site safety in accordance with standard practice/policy, prioritizing looking out for yourself and others.
- Interpret technical documents and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform all aspects of Elevator maintenance, including troubleshooting problems with major elevator components, manually wiring and installing smaller elevator components, ensuring safety standards and policies are followed.
Requirements
- Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal and external communications.
- Requires a high degree of concentration and attention to detail.
- Physical – Requires walking/standing approximately 80%, sitting approximately 20% and lifting up to 100 lbs. Approximately 50% of the time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 70% of the time; involves travel up to 95% of the time.
- Environmental – Requires the ability to perform essential job functions in a field setting with exposure to non-controlled climate conditions.
- Manual Dexterity – Requires the use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information; requires capability to operate an automobile.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the service business or related field.
- Passion for troubleshooting and repairing elevators and escalators.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
