Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure all installation work is completed per job requirements
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed during installation
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
- Conduct field service visits to ensure elevator functionality
- Perform regular maintenance tasks to keep elevators in optimal condition
- Ensures jobsite is neat and clean
- Works with inspectors to ensure work passes all required inspections
Supervisory Responsibilities
- All mechanics may be required to supervise apprentices

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, dimensional drawings/specifications and procedural manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Education, Experience & Training
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years of experience installing residential elevators, wheelchair lifts and LULA elevators
- Knowledge of ASME A17.1 and A18.1
- Knowledge of reading and understanding installation blueprints and drawings including all electrical and electronic schematics
- Knowledge with a focus on industrial mechanics
Certificates, Licenses Or Registrations
- Certified Elevator Mechanic License
Physical Demands
- The employee must be able to lift heavy loads
Work Environment
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels
