Elevator Mechanic - IL & WI

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure all installation work is completed per job requirements
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed during installation
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
• Provide excellent customer service while on-site
• Conduct field service visits to ensure elevator functionality
• Perform regular maintenance tasks to keep elevators in optimal condition
• Ensures jobsite is neat and clean
• Works with inspectors to ensure work passes all required inspections

Supervisory Responsibilities

• All mechanics may be required to supervise apprentices

Education, Experience & Training

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of experience installing residential elevators, wheelchair lifts and LULA elevators
• Knowledge of ASME A17.1 and A18.1
• Knowledge of reading and understanding installation blueprints and drawings including all electrical and electronic schematics
• Knowledge with a focus on industrial mechanics

Certificates, Licenses Or Registrations

• Certified Elevator Mechanic
• Licensed in at least one of the following states: IL and/or WI

Physical Demands

• The employee must be able to lift heavy loads

Work Environment

• This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels

Travel

• Some overnight travel

Physical Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - Company provides company vehicle
