About the role
This position involves assisting in the design and development of electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications. It also includes providing guidance and/or technical oversight on the design of local area networks or wireless local area networks.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and development of electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications.
- Provide guidance and/or technical oversight on the design of local area networks or wireless local area networks.
- Identify electronics engineering problems and recommend corrective action.
- Review technical electronics engineering project design documents, computations, and submittals.
- Prepare technical electronics engineering reports and studies with completeness, technical adequacy, and adherence to prescribed format of reports.
- Serve as a contributing team member during the survey, installation, and testing phase of operational systems.
Requirements
Must sign a mobility agreement if selected. Must sign an Army Fellows Participant Agreement if selected. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A pre-placement medical examination is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements and the qualification requirements listed below:
- One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the design and development of electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications; or, assisting in the inspection and evaluation of electronics engineered projects and resources; or, assisting in identifying electronics engineering problems and recommending corrective action.
- One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.
- One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.
- One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.
- One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.
Skills
The position requires a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
