About the role

This position involves assisting in the design and development of enterprise network systems and IT hardware, electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications. It also includes assisting in the inspection and evaluation of electronics engineered projects and resources, identifying electronics engineering problems, recommending corrective actions, reviewing technical documents, and preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design and development of enterprise network systems and IT hardware, electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications.
• Assist in the inspection and evaluation of electronics engineered projects and resources.
• Identify electronics engineering problems and recommend corrective action.
• Review technical electronics engineering project design documents, computations, and submittals.
• Prepare technical electronics engineering reports and studies with completeness, technical adequacy, and adherence to prescribed format of reports.

Requirements

Must sign a mobility agreement if selected. Must sign an Army Fellows Participant Agreement if selected. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management within 36 months as of entrance on duty. The incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance with sensitive compartmented information access upon entering the full performance level.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience

• One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the design and development of electronics engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications;
• Assisting in the inspection and evaluation of electronics engineered projects and resources;
• Assisting in identifying electronics engineering problems and recommending corrective action.

Education

• One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.
• One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Engineering.

Combination of Education and Experience

• A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
