Electronic Technician
About the role
GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies. We are currently looking for an Electronic Technician to join our winning team.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) on site in Point Mugu, CA.
- Work in a technically advanced, positive, and productive environment in the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL).
- Work on hardware such as Intrepid Tiger II.
Requirements
- Experience reading/interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings for the purpose of fabricating/testing/maintaining weapon/avionics systems.
- Experience conducting troubleshooting using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment.
- Experience constructing, repairing, splicing, soldering wiring, replacing coaxial, USB, Ethernet, and electrical connectors per mil spec standards per established standards.
- Experience troubleshooting system failures using standard test equipment i.e. Fluke meter, Oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer, as well as US military test equipment for Electronic Combat Systems.
- Experience developing/executing established processes to simplify difficult to manufacture production line items, streamlined procedures, to ensure accuracy and completeness of products and implemented solutions.
- Experience setting up, calibrating and testing RF equipment and components to compare against manufactures specifications.
- Experience using precision measurements on a variety of electronic equipment such as Agilent series Spectrum Analyzer (26.5GHz), RF Signal Generator (20GHz), Signal Source Analyzer (7 GHz), Noise Figure Analyzer (26.5 GHz), Dual Channel Power Meter, Digital Oscilloscope (500 MHz).
Qualifications
- Must be US Citizen.
- Current Secret Clearance required to start.
- 4+ years experience.
- Self-motivated; ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision.
- Experience working with tight deadlines and handling escalations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $79,900 - $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
