Electronic Technician
About the role
AV is expanding and we're looking for an Electronic Technician to join our team! Our office is located in Leesburg, VA where we provide highly competitive drone detection technologies and services to our government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. Our product, Titan-SV Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) delivers comprehensive 360° surveillance, efficiently localizing malicious small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (sUAS). Titan-SV is used around the globe to protect mission critical assets and provide trusted safety to warfighters on the ground. AV is continually innovating to preserve these advantages.
Responsibilities
- Constructs, maintains, and tests moderate electrical systems and components
- Uses measuring and diagnostics tools to test and modify electronic parts
- Receives instruction on specific objects
- Receives direction on complex problems and possible solutions
- Possesses effective oral and written communications skills
- May assist with communications pertaining specific assignments or meetings
- Possibility of up to 10% traveling
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent military experience
- 3–5 years of related experience
- Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering experience
- Effective knowledge of Schematic Capture and PCB layout software
- Excellent soldering skills
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain operations and associated management systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Acute attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- US Citizenship is required

ITAR Requirement
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
