About the Role
We are seeking an Electronic Technician responsible for the effective operation of plant process control, electronic, instrument, electrical, and mechanical equipment. This role involves preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying equipment to ensure efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure process control equipment is calibrated, running efficiently, and meeting specifications.
- Format and establish preventative maintenance procedures for process equipment and systems, ensuring proper compliance.
- Modify, configure, service, and maintain computer, microprocessor, and process controller systems throughout the plant.
- Operate and perform basic programming for microprocessors, process controllers, and various computers as required.
- Propose, appraise, and purchase new equipment for projects to enhance plant operation.
- Conduct surveys and evaluate results to determine efficiency and suitability of process control devices or systems.
- Develop and conduct training sessions on process control systems and equipment for all levels of plant personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of technical training or related work experience in this field.
Schedule
This is a 12-hour shift position, working 3 or 4 days per week.
