About the role
The Electrician 2 supports the Maintenance Department by performing preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate and maintain electrical systems and process control devices
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and propose repair solutions for electrical power, electrical control and process control equipment
- Aid in the planning, budgeting and implementation of electrically related facility projects
- Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
- Develop and maintain proper use, care, and safety skills of all hand, power, welding and any other tools necessary for use in the course of this job
- Fabricate, assemble, and install electrical panels and all associated wiring
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Preferred technical education in electricity
- Current Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License is required and must be maintained
- Basic knowledge of process sensors/transmitters
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety devices (breakers, fuses, etc.)
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Strong working knowledge of electrical work practices and guidelines to include those outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficient interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Work independently with little supervision
- Effective and appropriate oral communication skills including legible handwriting in English
Qualifications
- Physical Demands (Production Roles): This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 50lbs. And, if applicable, can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift. Must be able to work in, on, or around equipment and machinery. The employee may need to perform work with the use of ladders.

Pay
$32.60 – 39.00 per hour (non-exempt)
Schedule
1st shift Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm or 7am - 3pm
