Electrical Technician (Harness Assembly)

Harness Assembly

  • Build, route, and install electrical harnesses, ensuring proper terminations, crimping, and soldering according to aerospace standards.
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical components, including connectors, circuit boards, and avionics systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds.
  • Perform continuity tests, insulation resistance checks, and troubleshooting to verify harness integrity.
  • Ensure all work meets industry and company quality standards, adhering to safety and aerospace regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to support system integration and problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical harness assembly, wiring, or related field.
  • Proficiency in crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
  • Strong understanding of cable routing, strain relief, and aerospace/automotive wiring standards.
  • Hands-on experience using tools such as wire strippers, heat shrink tubing, and torque wrenches.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.).
  • Ability to adapt and troubleshoot in a dynamic R&D environment.
