Job Summary
An Electrical Technician 1 will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in custom trailers, displays and vehicles. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start or advance their career in electrical work within the manufacturing industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and proper use of PPE, while proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in custom trailers, displays and vehicles.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Participate in training programs to enhance electrical skills and knowledge.
- Document work performed and parts used for accurate record-keeping.
Required Skills And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the electrical field or equivalent education.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, concepts and NEC code book.
- Basic knowledge of wiring methods and proper wire sizing.
- Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Must possess or willing to learn the following skill sets: Mechanical Aptitude, Read tape measure and protractor, Use air and electric hand tools, Perform conduit bending, Basic ability to solve simple issues and learn the job quickly.
- Must be safety conscious with good housekeeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Must effectively communicate and present interpretations of work.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards team members and other departments.
- Displays initiative to learn and to take on more responsibilities.
- Ability to learn to operate forklift.
