Electrical Technician I

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of electrical installations for many different electrical and electronic systems such as lighting, MC systems, 115V/440V electrical plant equipment, Uninterrupted Power Supply equipment, Audio/Video equipment, Antenna systems and various others
• Install electrical cabinets, fixtures and equipment for various electrical systems
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks using various MIL-SPEC connectors and connection boxes
• Pull in cables of various lengths and sizes to accommodate system connections
• Work shipboard availabilities with a various teams

Qualifications

• Good critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on your own
• Willingness to travel to various locations in support of ship maintenance availabilities
• Flexibility with regards to scheduling and planned support due to constant Navy movement
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance and base access credentials
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be reliable and able to work Monday – Friday 40hrs and be flexible to work weekends if required
