About the role
The Facility Solutions Group (FSG Electric) is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, field coordination, customer relationships, and overall project execution.
- Take ownership of projects, proactively solve problems, and consistently deliver successful outcomes for both the customer and the company.
- Partner closely with Foremen, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor labor productivity, job costs, and project profitability.
- Conduct project meetings with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to avoid schedule delays and cost overruns.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Support estimating, preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts when needed.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that generate repeat business opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems and construction practices.
- Experience managing project financials including budgets, forecasting, labor tracking, and cost control.
- Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration.
- Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass background screening requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred but not required.
- PMP certification, electrical licensing, or equivalent industry credentials are a plus.
