JOB OVERVIEW

The Electrical Project Manager will oversee and manage projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Manages daily activities associated with the project.
  • Makes sure the project stays within its budget.
  • Develops layout drawings, material lists, and purchase orders.
  • Calls the shots for the project schedule, coordinating with the General Contractor and other subcontractors.
  • Ensures that electrical and instrumentation installation meets company and customer standards.
  • Visits the site daily to oversee every aspect of the installation.
  • Attends meetings related to project planning and turnover.
  • Creates timelines, material coordination plans, and labor requirements.
  • Attends pre-construction meetings and site walks.
  • Handles all project documentation, including submittals, RFI's, change orders, labor, and material budgets.
  • Reports progress and updates to the Operations Manager regularly.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer programs like Outlook and Excel.
  • Very organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with industrial electrical and instrumentation installations.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Strong history of managing client relationships and demonstrating management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings according to state and local code requirements.
  • Possibility of managing multiple projects at once.
  • Able to travel 100% of the time across various states in the U.S.
  • Experience with processes for RFI's, change orders, scheduling, manpower loading, material ordering, material management, and submittals.
  • Experience managing industrial projects with values between $5MM and $10MM.
  • Journeyman license in North Carolina or states with reciprocity agreements.

Salary Description

$43 - $55 hourly.
