About the Role

The Project Manager will oversee the overall financial results of assigned projects, ensuring safety, profitability, production, and quality goals are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Provide general oversight and direction to jobsite supervision on assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of the plans and specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and scopes for purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Monitor quality and/or supervise quality monitoring to ensure installations meet standards.
• Work with superintendents and foremen to plan, coordinate, and meet productivity goals.
• Coordinate material, tooling, and equipment needs with superintendents and foremen.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly monitored and tracked.
• Identify and communicate Fabrication opportunities to Division and Fabrication Division Managers.
• Lead the process of reviewing and preparing monthly cost reports for assigned projects.
• Ensure company and project-specific safety policies are followed.
• Coordinate manpower requirements to ensure appropriate skilled labor is available.
• Evaluate employees and provide coaching and feedback on performance.
• Support company Safety and Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Provide constructive feedback to the Division Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of construction leadership experience.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Spectrum, Accubid, Bluebeam, and other computer skills.
• Good understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Electrical Theory.
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications and detailed drawings.
• Ability to develop and follow construction schedules.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to learn and willingness to try new techniques.
• Ability to mentor and share knowledge with others.
• Ability to focus on details while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other elevated areas up to 90 feet.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime, including night shifts and out-of-town work if required.
• Transport and relocate ladders unassisted; personal weight must not exceed ladder capacity.

Physical/Mental Functions

• Positively identify colors of wires and other items.
• Comprehend blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Safely use required power tools.
• Comprehend and practice safe work procedures.
• Operate company trucks with manual or automatic transmissions.
• Read and interpret maps, manuals, and written instructions.
• Operate mechanical personal lifts (electric or gas-powered).
• Hear and see well (naturally or with correction).
• Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
• Lift objects up to 30 pounds; frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Tolerate prolonged standing and movement on foot.
• Climb ladders (all types).
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
