About the role
In this role, you will be the lead Electrical Equipment Engineer, responsible for designing electrical systems for modularized Oxygen and Nitrogen plants in the USA. You will be working with a range of power system technologies including: metal-clad switchgear, 5kV motors, 5kV fused contactors, transformers, and 480V motor control centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform calculations and studies for electrical power systems using SKM including: load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, relay coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Develop protective relay settings and logic based on the study results above.
- Perform vendor drawing reviews, ensuring compliance with the engineering specification and design requirements.
- Perform technical bid evaluations on all major sources of equipment.
- Work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, partnering with teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, gaining full project lifecycle exposure from design through startup.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred, and interest in working towards Professional Engineering (PE) licensing.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC), and IEEE standards.
- Comfortable using common engineering tools such as Microsoft Office, and other discipline specific software.
- Exposure to SKM, SEL, and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical construction methodologies and processes, construction packages, commissioning and energization of electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Willingness to travel nominally 10%, with occasional travel up to 25% to perform skid checkout and plant electrical system commissioning.

Pay
Pay Range: X75,000USD – 90,000USD
Schedule
Nominal travel of 10%, with occasional travel up to 25% to perform skid checkout and plant electrical system commissioning.
