Electrical Design Engineer - Power Systems
About the role
P2S is seeking a mid-level Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Power and Energy Systems to join our dynamic team. This role offers opportunities to work on impactful projects, including those in education and port facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution
- Perform field verification, site assessments, and system evaluations
- Prepare construction documents, permit packages, and technical specifications
- Cook with designs with architects, engineers, and clients
- Manage construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits
- Conduct power system analysis, including arc flash and short circuit coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power and Energy Systems or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate preferred
- At least 3+ years of experience in electrical power systems design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
- Experience with infrastructure or port projects is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus
- Experience with medium voltage projects is a plus
- Experience with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Pay
The salary range for this position is $90,000-115,000, dependent on experience. The exact pay will be determined based on relevant job-related factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
Schedule
The role is offered on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 remote days per week.
