Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

General Responsibilities

Key participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges.
Collaborates on feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Organizes development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch.
Key participant in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations.
Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures.
Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

Electrical Design & Drafting

  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts (AutoCAD Electrical or similar).
  • Create and maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation for production.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and internal specifications.

Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

  • Design electrical systems with manufacturability, cost, and reliability in mind.
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize builds and production processes.
  • Support prototyping, pilot builds, and production ramp.
  • Incorporate feedback from manufacturing, field service, and quality into design improvements.

Preferred Experience

  • In PLC And HMI Development

Pay

Base Salary Range: $95,920.00 - $131,890.00

Schedule

This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
