About the role
The Election Assistant II, NC – Trainer position at the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk is responsible for conducting training classes for election workers and delivering clear and engaging presentations.
Responsibilities
- Determines course content and prepares training outlines.
- Schedules and secures training facilities.
- Evaluates election workers and training facilities, recommending improvements.
- Drives to various training locations to conduct training sessions.
- Leads trainings, orientations, and provides instructions in group settings.
- Aids election workers with interactive scenarios and explains Election Day procedures.
- Assists with customer service and accessibility for election workers.
Requirements
- Six (6) months of full-time experience in conducting training classes, seminars, workshops, or video production.
- A valid California Class "C" Driver License at the time of hiring.
- Ability to lift objects over 25 pounds.
- Travel to various locations throughout Los Angeles County.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in public speaking or conducting classes/workshops.
- Some experience in public speaking or conducting classes/workshops.
- Possession of a valid CA driver’s license.
