EKG/EEG Technician

About the role

The Advanced Cardiovascular Technician at Mercy is responsible for entering Holter Monitor and/or Cardiac Event Monitor studies in cardiac software, ensuring compliance for Joint Commission standards. This role acts as a lead when the primary leader is unavailable and manages the daily operations of the department.

Responsibilities

• Enter Holter and/or Cardiac Event Monitor studies in cardiac software
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards
• Act as lead when the primary leader is not available
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the department

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer knowledge
• One year of experience or previous on-the-job training or training through an Allied Health program
• CCT or CRAT through CCI or CET through American Allied Health (preferred)
• Additional languages preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
