Chippenham Hospital, a 460‑bed acute care facility in Richmond, has been providing quality healthcare since 1972 and is recognized for orthopedics, joint care, behavioral health, cardiovascular care, and as a Level I Burn and Trauma Center.
Pay
Hourly wage estimate: $14.03 – $18.94 per hour. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in operating and troubleshooting equipment used in the EKG lab.
- Prepares patients and applies holter monitors; restocks the work area with necessary supplies; keeps the work area and equipment clean and orderly to promote patient safety.
- Assists with compiling bi‑weekly and monthly data.
- Responds to stat orders as received.
- Performs routine EKGs, signal‑averaged EKGs, rhythm strips, and EKGs with and without the magnet.
- Executes departmental procedures for clerical processing of EKGs.
Requirements
- Six months experience in patient care in a hospital (required).
- Six months experience performing EKGs (preferred).
- High school diploma (required); high school diploma with medical training (preferred).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Schedule
Provides coverage for weekends and holidays.
