EKG Technician
Shift
PRN - will be as needed and will float between HOF and LWS campuses. Week days and weekends depending on the needed coverage but we will onboard and train prior to any days alone at LWS

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarifies with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
- Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among all caregivers.
- Performs EKGs accurately and efficiently.
- Maintains all equipment in proper working order.
- Completes delegated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks promptly.
- Interacts with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Safeguards patient safety and confidentiality.
- Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all tasks and procedures.
- Affords assistance with patient care activities as needed.
- Participates in ongoing training and development to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Supports quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- EKG recognition
- Ability to operate job necessary equipment efficiently
- Ability to function independently
- Certificate in EKG technology (preferred)
- Variety of computer programs and software (preferred)
- Ability to read, write legibly and perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds
Qualifications
- Associate degree (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
Skills
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
