About the Role

The Environmental Health & Safety Technician II supports the administration of all occupational safety, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene activities throughout the shipyard. This position ensures compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and maritime industry standards, assists with training and incident prevention, and identifies opportunities to reduce workplace hazards and improve EHS performance. Domestic travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections, job hazard analyses, investigate incidents, and verify corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training including emergency response, fire prevention, and hazardous materials management.
• Support compliance through hazardous waste inspections, spill prevention, water and environmental sampling.
• Support OSHA, EPA, DEP, USCG, and NAVSEA inspections and requirements through audits and recordkeeping.
• Perform other duties and overtime as assigned.
