EEG Techician, Part Time, Days

Job Summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking an EEG Technician to conduct non-invasive neurodiagnostic exams of patients using electroencephalographic, evoked potential on both in-patients and scheduled out-patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-invasive neurodiagnostic exams using electroencephalographic and evoked potential techniques.
• Recognize normal and abnormal neurodiagnostic examinations.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification eligible by American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologist or equivalent
• Successful completion of traineeship of one year duration
• Minimum 6 months experience in EEG Lab
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
