Neuro Tech/ EEG Tech - Full Time

About the role

Humboldt Park Health is a 200-bed, acute care facility deeply committed to serving the Humboldt Park community since 1894. We provide patient-centered healthcare, focusing on quality of care, and offer a range of services including health education and chronic condition management.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEG tests on inpatients and outpatients, including bedside and neonates in the nursery.
• Prepares patients for EEG or EKG tests, providing instructions, applying electrodes, and positioning appropriately.
• Prepares EKG tracings and reviews previous patient records for cardiologist consultation.
• Maintains a daily ledger of EEG/EKG tests administered.
• Explains the procedure to patients and gathers their medical history for the exam.
• Aids neurologists with EEG/EMG procedures.
• Plans and organizes work tasks, assigns responsibilities, and ensures assignments are carried out effectively.
• Performs clerical duties and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an EEG Certification program.
• One to three years of relevant experience, highly desired.
• Required: EEG Certification.
• CPR Certification (BLS).
• EKG Certification, highly desirable.
